three bolts were the extent of the Assembly. seems very solid and the sling was a bonus. It will be a nice stand for public property. Update: Hunted this stand a few times and I am impressed. the cushion leaves much to be desired, but I find myself at that point. very strong base as I hung off the edge about 30 '.
